After efforts that included washing cars and preparing food the congregation, The Christ the Redeemer team of young people and adult advisers heading to Romania this summer is within $1,000 of its fundraising goal with two weeks to go before its July 1 target date.

If the group surpasses the goal, excess funds will go toward supplies for the ropes course the team will build with the Viata program run by CTR missions partners Dana and Brandi Bates.

Romania Car WashThe CTR team will be led by Father Tim Clayton, Allegra Smick and Peter Smick. Student participants include Ian Clayton, Jairen Milette, Matthew Ravichandran, Amy Thissell, Joe Sherratt and Katie Steininger.

If you’d like to help, you can buy snacks from Romania team members at on the evening of Friday, June 17, during the 7:30 p.m. showing of War Room at the church.

Other  options for supporting the team financially include visiting the CTR online giving page and selecting the Romania Short-term Mission option or placing a check in a Sunday collection plate with Romania Short-term Mission in the memo field.

The trip is scheduled for August 7 – 21 (this is a new return date) and also is being supported by the CTR Executive Outreach Team.
