Deacon Samuel Alberty

Deacon Samuel grew up in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota. Prior to coming to Christ the Redeemer, he served as the Director of Worship at an Anglican church in North Carolina, and spent several summers in Sweden doing outdoor adventure ministry with Torchbearers International. He made his way to New England in 2012 and has since completed a Master of Divinity at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and a Master of Theology in Patristics at Boston College. He has a love for worship, and deeply enjoys exploring the ways in which the Liturgy forms us as Christians and humans, both throughout history and today.

In his free time, he loves to be outside; whether running, biking, reading, or just sitting quietly, if it’s in the woods, he’s happy. He also spends his time playing his guitar, grilling ribs, and finding ways to work references to St. Basil into casual conversation.
