Notes & Announcements

Hello friends!

Our time “On the Green” is drawing to a close this week, and we anticipate a new season of worshipping indoors once again (God willing…see Fr. Tim’s note below). Although we call the building where we plan to gather at 188 Elliott Street a “church,” our time worshiping together ‘on the green’ and online has provided a beautiful and tangible reminder that “church” is (and always has been) more than just a building. The church is the body of Christ meeting together, doing life together, supporting one another through the hard times, rejoicing with one another in the good, and celebrating Eucharist together in community. So I find myself pausing now before the church re-enters the building, and thanking our good Father for all of you, and for this reminder of what (or who) the church truly is. May the peace of Christ be with you!

A note on re-entering the building from Fr. Tim:

Dear Christ the Redeemer family,

I have asked Dano Jukanovich to lead the planning for how we can safely worship in the church building again, starting November 15, and Dano and team have been hard at work on this and have developed an excellent plan. Details will be forthcoming in the next week via both email and social media.

I also need to continue to say that we are working towards returning and hoping we will indeed. At the same time I am watching the overall situation, and need to remind us all that we may need to go a different direction. Please continue praying for our Commonwealth regarding the virus in this cooler-weather season.

Also, please join us Sunday for our last Summer on the Green service; these have been really special, and our Lord Jesus has been there with us. I hope you can join us as we celebrate this on Sunday.

May Jesus Christ be praised,
Tim+
